Happy Friday!

The weather here in Indiana has been absolutely gorgeous this week…with the exception of a HUGE storm on Wednesday night that included large pieces of hail…literally it has truly felt like summer this week which makes me SO happy πŸ™‚

Tonight, Brian and I will be having a pretty low-key night in because tomorrow morning, we are heading down to Kentucky to stay at a good friend’s cabin with lots of our good friends. Β The weather down there should be like 80 and sunny all weekend, so we are really looking forward to just letting loose, relaxing, enjoying each other’s company, and kicking off summer. Β Yay!

On another, unrelated note, recently (like since January recently!) I have been super busy. Β I have added some things onto my plate, and continue to (attempt) to give every.single.thing. 110%. Β Brian and I had a couple of really good talks this week because something that is SUPER hard for me to deal with is the fact that I can’t just say YES, YES, YES to everything without sacrificing anything. Β When I continue to say yes…something suffers, and honestly usually it is everything. Β I’m not able to give 110% to anything even though I try. Β I need to start thinking of quality over quantity, and I needed to really think about my priorities in life.

That all being said, for the time being, I am going to only blog 3 days a week. Β I am thinking a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule will work best for me. Β Hopefully, that will allow me to dedicate more of my time to other thing on my priority list πŸ™‚

How do you balance your time with your hobbies, work, relationships, anything else?Β Are you the type of person who says YES to anyone and everything like me? Just curious! Β I think we can all help each other out here.

On that note, here is a littleΒ Five Things Friday action with some recaps from my week.

Five Things I Ate:

baked oatmeal

  • A giant dinner salad: Β Romaine, kale, sprouts, tomato, sweet potato, avocado, salmon, onion, carrot, celery, dijon mustard…yum!

healthy maven matcha ball

  • Chickpea Lentil Burgers on a Portobello bun topped with avocado, dijon, tomato, and sprouts. Β (Brian’s was topped with hummus instead of sprouts and tasted AMAZING!)

Growing up, I DESPISED mushrooms…and honestly I still kind of do, unless they are portobello and I am in the “mood.” Β These puppies were spritzed with a bit of olive oil and cooked at 400 degrees for 12 minutes. Β I then removed them from the oven and lightly salt and peppered them before topping with the burger ingredients. Β Yum!!! So so good πŸ™‚
