What perfect Saturday!
I celebrated my upcoming wedding with my final wedding shower this Saturday. My mom was able to come to Indianapolis from Fort Wayne, the weather was 100% perfect and the day was just full of fun and buzz about the wedding.
The shower was in Greenwood, IN which is the little city where Brian grew up just outside of Indianapolis. We all celebrated at the Sassafras Tea Room, which is a cute little house turned into a restaurant/venue for gatherings like bridal showers, baby showers, and birthdays. You can eat lunch there throughout the week too!
All of the details and colors were perfectly tied into the wedding theme. Lots of pinks and golds 🙂
The overflowing gift table is proof of how generous and kind everyone was. I can’t thank everyone enough for being there and sharing in this special day with me.
One of my absolute favorite details was the cake.
I loved the rosette’s, and the fact that my dress perfectly matched the frosting!!
The guests of this shower were mostly friends and family members of the Rochford (Brian’s) side of the family. I was so happy that my mom was able to attend too, because it was so nice for everyone to really have a chance to talk and get to know each other a little bit better.
Brian’s Mom and Aunt Fran…she won a Starbucks card!
After chatting with all of the guests, it was time to sit down to a tasty lunch.
The dish was light, absolutely tasty, and perfect for a summer luncheon
Once we were done eating, it was time to find out what was hidden in all of those pretty packages.
I loved all of the gifts, and I can’t believe the wonderful things that Brian and I received for our home!
Although I truly loved them all, I think my reaction was the best for this gift:
The Ninja Blender. It is a high powered “professional” grade blender that also acts as a mixer, food processor, and I think I can even use it as a juicer…I was (and am!) very excited!!)
After all of the presents were unwrapped, we enjoyed some of that pretty cake. It was as delicious as it looked and tasted homemade! I hate to say it, but I am kind of a cake snob…and this one REALLY passed the test 🙂
The shower was gorgeous, full of love, kindness, and really the last big “event” before the wedding! Crazy…
Once the shower was over, it was time to head over to the Rochford’s to get some more wedding stuff done.
Brian and Greg (Brian’s dad) pretty much stayed to the side lines while the girls got down to business…
Then, it was time to change into some comfortable clothes and hit up the crafting station…formally known as the Rochford’s basement.
It was such a great way to spend a Saturday. I can’t believe that there are only a couple more until the wedding gets here.
18 days to go….
