Yesterday was the first OFFICIAL day of fall, and it actually felt like fall too!  The temperatures dropped, the sun was shining, and even though I am a warm weather girl the crisp temperatures got me excited for this new season.

Brian and I started our weekend on Saturday by attending the Lockerbie Square Neighborhood Yard Sale.  Lockerbie is a beautiful residential neighborhood located just outside of the city center in Indianapolis, and just a couple of blocks from where Brian and I live right now.  The homes in this neighborhood are absolutely gorgeous, so when Brian and I found out that they were having a yard sale we had a feeling we may be able to find some pretty cool items.

I was able to find a handmade lantern for $2!  I am still not 100% sure what I will do with it…but I love it!

Brian found a cute French bulldog bank (kind of like a piggy bank) that we will display on a shelf in our room.

We only had a limited amount of time to look around, but we were still able to see a good amount of what people had to offer.

This was probably the “fanciest” garage sale I had ever been to.  Some houses were serving up mimosas, donuts, coffee…and look at the “Please Pay Here” sign in the picture below!  So fun 🙂

Later that afternoon I went to the grand opening of an Indianapolis boutique store, Dottie Couture.

I first learned of Dottie Couture at the Fall FashIN event that I attended last month.  They were one of the stores that had items displayed for us to purchase, try on, and play with and I loved everything about it!  When I heard they were opening up another boutique I had to pay it a visit on their grand opening day.

I ended up purchasing:

Fleece leggings (so cozy!)

Dottie Couture

Multi-Beaded Necklace

Chevron Dress (similar to this, mine is olive and black)

The cool thing about Dottie Couture is that even though it is a local Indiana boutique, it is also an online store so anyone can purchase these adorable and affordable clothes and accessories.  I love it, and I am so glad that I have been introduced to this company.

After shopping, Brian and I headed out on an apple picking date.  SO FUN! (More details coming soon…)

To top off the fall weekend, Brian and I also enjoyed our first bowl of chili this fall…delicious!

Sunday morning, I started my day with a 6 mile run at a 7:58 pace…finally!  I thought for sure I would NEVER reach my goal of having a run of a distance over 2 miles hit that 8 min/mile mark.  Not only did I reach my time goal, but I felt good doing it!

I hope you all had a great first weekend of fall as well!
