It’s official. ย It is the end of September and I have completed my personal Cookbook Challenge!

Throughout the month of September, I recreated:

This past weekend, I created my final Cookbook Challenge recipe from my Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook Bridal Edition.

bridal edition cookbook

Delicious Two Bean Chili.

chili dinner

This was a one pot meal, that took just about an hour in total to prepare, tasted delicious, and provided plenty of leftovers.

With the temperatures cooling off in Indiana, the chili was the perfect way to celebrate this first official week of fall.

Overall, it was a challenge to NOT alter these recipes, but I LOVED reading through my cookbooks, learning new cooking techniques and feeling inspired in the kitchen.

Giveaway

In honor of the Cookbook Challenge being complete, I thought it would be fun to host a cookbook GIVEAWAY!

Each recipe in this cookbook incorporates peanut butter, some more than others.

There are sweet cookie and dessert recipes, healthier granola bar recipes, and some savory meal ideas…she really covers it all and makes sure to include beautiful pictures along with tips and tricks to creating the recipe.

Here are pictures of some of the items I have made from her cookbook.

  1. Probably my favourite is peanut butter by the spoon (don’t judge me), but I do love chicken with homemade satay sauce, so delicious!

  2. I love the chocolate bark that I make. I think it was a Kraft recipe. It’s super easy and quick. Here’s the recipe:

8 squares of Baker’s chocolate (melted). Then add 5 crushed oreos to it.
6 squares of Baker’s white chocolate (melted). Then add 2 tbsp of peanut butter and 5 crushed oreos.

Put parchment paper or wax paper on a cookie sheet and spoon out dollops of each mixture onto the paper. Use a butter knife to cut through the soft mixture and make a ‘swirl’ effect. Put in fridge until hard (an hour or so). Then break it off into pieces.

Delish! Always a crowd pleaser ๐Ÿ™‚
