This morning as I checked twitter, I saw a local news station call Thursday “Friday Junior.”  How cute is that?!

I hope you are all having an amazing Friday Junior 🙂

It look like you are all really enjoying the Healthy Skoop giveaway.  I absolutely LOVE reading all of your suggestions for staying healthy and getting nutrients into your body when you are busy 🙂 You have until Sunday to enter the contest!!

Last night, dinner was a quick throw-together meal that included some Three Grain Tempeh that was very tasty.  I loved that I could actually see the grains (brown rice, millet, and barley) in the tempeh!

I ended up just cooking the tempeh on the stove until heated through and seasoned with a bit of salt, pepper and garlic.  I then added in some already roasted green beans and sweet potatoes with a big handful of spinach.  On top of all that?  I big dollop of hummus 🙂

Awesome fitness clothing alert!

Last month, I ordered my first Fabletics outfit.

Fabletics is an athletic clothing line designed by Kate Hudson that is cute and very affordable.

The way that it works is kind of like a subscription box.

To start, you fill out a profile so the Fabletics team knows what your style is and what kind of workout you like to do.  Then, they suggest various styles for you to pick from.  You get to pick an outfit…yes an entire outfit for around $50.  The even more awesome thing is that the first time you order, the outfit is only $25 because you get 50% off!  In my world, you can barely get a sports bra for $25.  Needless to say, it’s a fairly good deal.

Each month, new styles and outfits are released on the 1st of the month.  You have the opportunity to opt out/cancel your subscription or pick an outfit.  If you forget to pick an outfit or cancel your subscription, then your credit card will be charged $50 BUT it’s my understanding that you can use that $50 as credit in future months…so you don’t lose any money. Phew!

Now about the clothing….

Outfit #1

Fabletics 1

The first outfit I ordered consisted of:

First of all, I loved the look of the outfit.  The bright colors are fun, and it looked just as I thought it would after making my order online.

The sizing is fairly true to size, but I will say that I should have gone down a size in sports bra.

Fabletics 2

I followed the sizing chart and ordered a Medium as it suggested for a 34C chest.  I was a little hesitant to order a medium because I typically wear a small sports bra, but I typically wear a medium bikini top so I didn’t think it was THAT strange to order a size up.

After receiving the items and wearing a couple of times, I wish I had ordered the small sports bra.  It is much too loose to wear to a fitness class with any sort of impact or during a workout that includes any running or jumping.  I plan on just drying it a few times to shrink it up, BUT Fabletics does offer a perfect fit guarantee which allows you to exchange items for free.

Everything else fit great, just the bra was a little looser than expected.

Now the capris…I love the capris!

They come up JUST high enough to not give the illusion of any sort of “muffin-top” (I know I don’t have a muffin-top, but sometimes clothing cuts me weird when it is too low-rise).  They don’t fall down when I am running and they have a pocket for a key or small ipod.

Outfit #2

Fabletics

Instead of three pieces, this outfit only consisted of two pieces.

This outfit could not have fit better.

I love the tank, which has padding in the cups of the bra so it’s very supportive.

I also love the shorts!  I love little shorts like these for running because I don’t have to worry about chafing from loose fabric rubbing between my legs (sorry if that’s TMI!).

I wasn’t quite sure how to do the sides of the shorts because they come like this…

Fabletics

But you can synch them up like this…I guess it just depends on personal preference.

Fabletics

Fabletics has a great referral program too, so if you recommend Fabletics to your friends you get credit added to your account!!

SO if you are thinking about purchasing…please click this link (Fabletics!) so I can get a little credit 😉

Overall, I think the quality of the clothing is great–especially for the price-point and I love the look.  Even though I love working out and being active, it always makes it a little more fun when there is a new outfit to show off 🙂

I have one more fun thing to share with you before I head out!

Next Wednesday, Bagger Dave’s has invited me to a special signature drink tasting and happy hour.  When I asked Brian if he wanted to go with me, the answer was a huge YES!

There will be drink samples where we can vote for our favorite drink, and there will be tasty appetizers to snack on.

Here is the fun part…2 Treble in the Kitchen readers will be able to attend this event with me!

Because people read this blog from locations other than Indy, I am just going to ask that if you are interested in attending to please e-mail me at trebleinthekitchen at gmail dot com.  I always LOVE meeting blog readers, so I hope that a couple of you are able to come.

The event is Wednesday, July 16 from 6:30-8:30pm.  I’ll send ya more info if you are interested in joining me!

Alright friends, that’s all I have for today.

Hope you all have a great Friday Junior and I’ll see ya tomorrow!

Question of the Morning:

  • Are you part of a monthly subscription such as Birch Box, Stitch Fix, or Nature Box?
  • If you are or have tried one (or want to try one!), tell me which one and what you like about it!

  1. I’ve gotten that tempeh before and am ashamed to say I let it go to waste. I’ve never had it before so I think I was nervous. I’ll have to give it another try. Also, I love that first outfit!

    • Oh no! i hate wasting food, but I completely understand being nervous. Don’t worry! It’s not too scary once you just go for it! 🙂 Hope you had a great weekend!

  2. Love Fabletics! I got outfit #1 too. The white top is a little more see through than I’d like but it’s so comfy 🙂

  3. I tried Fabletics when it was first launched – Facebook ads work! I apparently whizzed through the sign up and didn’t realize it was a subscription. So I did have an extra credit in my account after forgetting to order or opt out the next month. I was able to use it later. I agree with the pants – mine fit perfect and are well made!

    • Glad to hear the credit thing worked out for ya 🙂 I love checking out the fun designs and patterns each month!

  4. I had the same exact problem with the bra! I should’ve exchanged it for a small, but I was too impatient! I can only wear it for yoga or walking because it’s not tight enough. It’s my fault, though, I just need to try to shrink it!

  5. Love Friday Junior 🙂 And I love tempeh – the first time I had it, it scared me but it is mighty tasty! The couple times I had it, I made a syrupy/molasses glaze to put on it and ate it for breakfast it was delicious!

I sooo want to try Fabletics post babies, I think if I got one or two cheaper outfits to make me rock my post pregnancy body it will help immensely in my confidence and getting back out there!

I’d LOVE more info on Bagger Dave’s I might not be able to come, but if I have the info I can let you know 🙂 I want to try and keep busy!
