Happy Holiday Season!!

OK, so I know it’s not Christmas time just yet, BUT with Thanksgiving this week I have the holiday in my world the holiday season has officially begun!

Peppermint Mocha Smoothie via Treble in the Kitchen

So, this recipe totally started out as a Coco Almond Smoothie, THEN I realized I had some peppermint extract on hand I a decided to make a little “treble” in the kitchen 🙂  One of my FAVORITE flavor combos of the holiday season is peppermint and chocolate, so I couldn’t resist adding trying this smoothie idea out.

I added some of that minty sweet extract right to my smoothie and was VERY happy with the end result!

Peppermint Mocha Smoothie:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 scoop of your favorite protein powder
  • 1 large handful of spinach or baby kale
  • 1 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp instant coffee granules
  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 3 ice cubes

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in blender, and blend until desired consistency. (about 2-3 minutes)
  2. Enjoy!!

  1. I agree with you – peppermint and chocolate! My family and I will make pretzel bites with a peppermint hershey kiss and an m&m on top. This smoothie looks awesome and I will have to try it. Definitely a healthier alternative than a Starbucks peppermint mocha 🙂
