I love homemade salad dressing, and rarely buy the bottled stuff.
Many nights, I just toss a little red wine vinegar or lemon juice (lately I’ve been LOVING lemon), spritz a little extra virgin olive oil with my misto oil mister, sprinkle a little salt and pepper, maybe add a few dashes of dijon, and call that my salad dressing for whatever vegetables I happen to have that week.
A few weeks ago, Brian’s family and I enjoyed an in-home French cooking class from a woman who lives in our neighborhood. The class was so fun and delicious, and if you live in the area I will absolutely share her information with you! At the very end of the cooking lesson we made a simple salad dressing.
It was very much the same as what I typically put on my salad, but mixing it all together in a bowl in the right proportions with shallots for that oniony/garlic flavor made all the difference. Of course in the class, this was simply a recipe we tossed together by taste so I wasn’t quite sure of the exact measurements, but after testing it out a few times I nailed the ingredient amounts down so I could share the recipe for Lemon Dijon Homemade Salad Dressing with all of you!
