After work last night, I rushed home to change out of my gym attire and into something a little more stylish.
I was invited to attend the Fall FashIN Preview event as and Indianapolis blogger which featured Dottie Couture, Handbag Heaven, Sunglasswarehouse.com, and Scarves Dot Net.
As I walked through the doors of the event, I was greeted by several kind, trendy, and outgoing girls. Β They took me straight back to the event space and the first thing that they showed me was the area where we could shop!
Because this was a “preview” event, we were able to purchase products that have not even made it to these online shops yet…AND we got a discount!
After eyeing several maxi dresses, purses, and accessories I ended up purchasing this scarf that is absolutely one of the softest things I have ever owned. Β It is a light blush/tan color and is made of a t-shirt material. Β It is SUPER long, but not bulky at all so it is perfect for bunching up and wearing in the fall. Β I can’t wait!
After we shopped around for a bit, we all grabbed a bite to eat and listened to Janneane of Pattern Indy MagazineΒ talk about fashion and technology. Β Because of technology, fashion and trends are accessible to anyone anywhere. Β She discussed how blogging is a fun thing, but it can also be profitable because it allows the author/business owner to represent and create a lifestyle, a trend, and a brand.
Needless to say, she was very inspiring!
After Janneane’s presentation, we had a checklist of tasks to accomplish. Β Of course one of the stations was shopping, but they also had several other fun things to participate in as well!
There was a handbag naming contest….
This black and ivory purse was the little gem I was holding out for, but unfortunately my name wasn’t picked. Β I guess I don’t have a future in product naming!
They provided surveys for us to fill out regarding our personal style and fashion.
This event even had a DIY sunglass station.
At first, I was a little overwhelmed by all of the decoration and sunglass options, but I eventually just decided to keep it simple.
I spent the evening chatting with the other ladies and learning about their blogs…and we had some time to play dress up and take pictures too π
The night ended by satisfying my sweet tooth with a candy bar.
And we also got swag bags to take with us!
It was such a fun “ladies night out!” Β I was able to meet great women, and I was introduced to amazing boutiques. Β I can’t thank One Click Ventures enough for inviting me to this amazing event.
For me? Β Boots and scarves!!
