The sun really wore us out! Brian took a long nap before dinner, but I took mine during the movie we watched with mom. I don’t know about you, but for some reason whenever a movie is turned on my eyes just get heavier and heavier until I finally just give up and doze off. (That was not the situation with Case 39) We watched “Father of the Bride” because I had never seen it before, and with all of this wedding planning happening it seemed appropriate.
I guess I’ll have to re-watch it in the morning. That is just when I function best!
For dinner, my mom made a little make-it-yourself Mexican bar, and I made guacamole to go with it. I made a large Mexican salad with refried beans, lettuce, cheese, onion, tomato, salsa, and of course…guac!
I used to not care for guacamole, but I think that it had more to do with the fact that it looks strange and I had never tried it. It just goes to show, don’t judge a book by it’s cover 😉
My brother and sister are also home this weekend, so for a little while we caught up with Kenny’s latest films and checked out Brenna’s new hair style. She currently has a brunette mohawk with blonde highlights…literally something different every time I see her, but that’s what I love about her!
Mom made a special dessert for us to enjoy during the movie. Strawberry shortcakes with vanilla ice cream! I just love the taste of strawberries in the summer, and the shortcakes were the perfect balance to the tart berries.
Since I have a movie to watch in the morning before heading back to Indy, I better head to bed!
