Happy Friday!

OK….let me just tell you about my morning.

First…I went to bed later than planned last night, so getting up to go to the gym was a little more on the difficult side, not impossible, just a little sleepy.

THEN, I spilled hummus all over the floor as I was pulling Brian’s lunch box out of the fridge (our fridge is LITERALLY bursting at the seams due to all the groceries I purchased for recipe testing this weekend).

THEN, Brian and I drove to the gym, which takes about 20 minutes.  As we were pulling up, I literally said “It looks like no one is at the gym this morning…that’s strange! Wouldn’t it be weird if the gym was closed?”  As I started to get out of the car, a police officer pulled up next to me and said “Excuse me miss, what are you doing?”  I replied “Going to the gym…” and he said “The gym is CLOSED!!! There was a chlorine spill…”

Yeah…so I proceeded to laugh at how funny the whole situation was!  Seriously…what are the odds!?  Brian was a little less amused, but we drove home and got ready for the day there.  SO we had an unplanned workout day off.  HA!

And if you were wondering what my world looks like during the week…

Ha! Can ya tell I like to SPREAD out while I study?  Thank goodness we have a large kitchen table!

How was your week?  Great? Busy? Well, hopefully you are able to have fun and relax a little this weekend 🙂

Brian and I will be doing some Thanksgiving prep work around the house, I will be cooking up a storm (25 more recipes to test for the cook book), and we may have breakfast with a friend from out of town on Sunday.

Kind of a chill weekend, I’m really hoping to relax a bit.

Now, time for some Five Things Friday! 🙂

I wasn’t quite sure what I would think about this snow, but I am really loving it!! It feels so festive and holiday 🙂  Only 2 weeks til Thanksgiving…!!

  • You guys!! I can’t thank you enough for completing Monday’s survey.  The responses are very helpful and I can’t wait to dig into some of the great ideas you guys have given me.  Thank you!
  • Coffee date!  This month has been super busy for me with lots of little projects in addition to school, so I’m excited to take tomorrow morning slow and get coffee with Brian as a little morning date 🙂
  • Prepping for the holidays!  I’ve mentioned before that Brian’s family is coming to Denver to spend Thanksgiving with us and I am really loving getting the house all ready, purchasing little decorations, and planning.  So fun!

    • I really only love the snow at this time of year through new years…then I would be happy with California weather too!!

  1. My husband and I are both students, so we don’t always have time for evening dates. Sneaking in a morning coffee date before our day gets crazy and hectic is my favorite. Hope you enjoy yours. 🙂 Happy Friday!

  2. I’m going to Memphis to see Old Crow Medicine Show. We saw them last summer at Red Rocks and they were sensational. So this time I’ll hear them inside. We were in Denver this summer. When you get a chance to go to ared Rocks—GO. It is a fantastic venue.
