Happy Friday!

This week just FLEW by!  Anyone else feel the same?

Brian and I have plans to go on another hike tomorrow and then we are going to go see our friend play soccer on Saturday night.  Sunday, I’ve decided is fall decorating day so I plan on making some fall food and decorating our apartment for the cooler months 🙂

Before we head into Five Things Friday there is one thing I want to share with all of you!

Today  at 12:15 MT I will be doing my first EVER Periscope video. (You can view the video here!)

Periscope Promo

Have you guys heard of Periscope?  It’s a free app for iPhone or Android that allows you to show quick videos.  It’s linked to your twitter (you can follow me @trebleinthekchn) and it’s actually pretty fun!  I will be having lunch at the Barre (Ballet Barre!) with Ballet Physique and Tricia of Fitlo Denver.  We will be talking what to do and what NOT to do at the barre and discussing technique.  Should be loads of fun!

Ok, now that we have that out of the let’s do some Five Things Friday 🙂

Five Things I Ate:

paleo pad thai

  • Smoothie Bowls…can’t get enough of them!

  • I experimented with a little avocado on Wednesday and I have to say that my tummy felt pretty good! 🙂 (avocado is a high FODMAP food).  I mixed with with tuna, dijon, carrots and a small amount of celery.  Served my tuna salad with some brown basmati rice over a bed of greens and leftover roasted veggies.  Really tasty!

  • These granola bars from Uproot From Oregon! I totally had granola bars on the brain and then Marisa posted her recipe for these wonderful gems, so I though tI would give them a shot.  So glad I did! They are 100% amazing and super easy to make! No baking required 🙂

Five Workouts I Did:

  • Taught Bodypump twice this week!

Tara bodypump

  • Walked the dog with Brian in the morning
  • Running…this week has been much lower on the running front then last week (hello 18 miles!) but I’ll make up for it next week!
  • Today, I’ll be running again
  • Tomorrow we will be hiking!

Five Things Making Me Happy:

  • Guys…I am officially done with Organic Chemistry! AND I actually got a decent grade 🙂  To say this makes me happy is kind of an understatement…I am elated to be done with this class forever.
  • Hiking!  Brian and I went hiking last weekend and I am so so happy to go again this weekend.  I missed the mountains.

  • I have to give a shoutout to my awesome husband!  He always (well mostly always!) makes me happy! You guys may not realize it, but I have been a crazy stressed out mess these past few months.  I have a bad habit of overcommitting myself and telling everyone YES! even though it doesn’t feel like I am overcommitting myself in the moment.  But the reason I am able to do anything I am able to do is because I have SO much support from Brian.  He is always there to help with chores, dinner, etc and usually has a pretty big smile on his face too.  Seriously guys, I couldn’t do it without him and I just have to give a shoutout to my amazing guy 🙂

Bernie and Brian

  • My Tribewheel bracelets! 🙂  More details on this VERY soon, but basically I have been wanting some yoga beads.  I now have yoga beads and I am pretty much obsessed with them (just check out that tassle!)

Tribewheel

  • Singing!  On wednesday I told you guys about my singing group photoshoot, but I’m giving them another shoutout because I have so much fun with those ladies!

  • Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish.  If you have issues with nail polish chipping almost immediately after you put it on, this stuff is for you.  It lasts about a week (on my nails) and the color looks amazing.  I really recommend this DIY gel manicure 🙂  I found mine at Target.
