Typically, I am the kind of girl who really looks forward to grocery shopping. ย I enjoy picking out my own fruits and vegetables ย and taking my time going through every aisle of the store.

That being said, there are plenty of times when I just don’t have the time to enjoy the shopping experience and it becomes more of a chore, especially during the busy holidays!

When Green B.E.A.N. Delivery asked me to try their grocery delivery service, I was more than thrilled because of my busy schedule.

Green B.E.A.N. Delivery is an organic produce and natural grocery delivery service. ย Most of the produce is organic and they try to source their products from local producers as much as possible. ย The produce options stay true to the season, and if they do need to get something from a non-local source they look for producers using sustainable resources.

Overall, I was very impressed with the entire Green B.E.A.N. Delivery process. ย It was so simple!

First, ย you must register onlineย and select the type of bin you would like. ย I chose the small produce bin, which is $35.00.

green bean deliveryYou must select your delivery frequency (weekly, biweekly, etc). ย There is no minimum number of times you need to order, but you do need to manually cancel your next order. ย Once the type of bin and order frequency is selected, all you have to do is wait until the Thursday before you receive your order.

The Thursday before you receive your order, you will then get an e-mail letting you know that it’s time to customize your bin. You will not be able to customize until you receive this e-mail…the hardest part for me was WAITING to customize! ย I wanted to do it as soon as I ordered it ๐Ÿ™‚

When you customize your order, the bin will tell you when it is full, when you need to add more, and which items are organic, local, etc.

Once your order is customized, all you have to do is wait for your order to arrive on Thursday! ย No need to worry, you will know it is there because of the large green bin on your doorstep!

When you receive your bin, your invoice with a list of all your produce will be on top.

Green Bean Delivery

Everything is packed with frozen cold packs to keep it fresh. ย I was worried about this because I wasn’t arriving home until around 7:30pm when my delivery was coming, but the produce was still fresh and the cold packs were still frozen solid.

I can’t believe I received all of the above for just $35. ย It was the perfect amount for Brian and I because we eat a lot of veggies, and everything was very good quality. ย If you don’t eat a lot of produce on a regular basis and there are only two people in your home, this bin may be a bit large for you, but things like the potatoes, shallots, and beets last a little longer than the other items so you could easily save those for another week.

This definitely made the grocery shopping process a lot easier, and although I love going to the store it was so fun to have a package of food waiting for me when I got home. ย It was kind of like a giant present…I couldn’t wait to see what was in side!

Another awesome thing about Green B.E.A.N. is the fact that you can purchase gift certificate! If someone on your holiday shopping list is short on time, loves quality produce, or has fun playing in the kitchen, this would be a perfect gift! ย To purchase a gift certificate, current members should visitย www.greenbeandelivery.com. Non-members can email or call customer service atย [email protected]ย orย (317) 377-0470. A delivery of fresh produce could be exactly what changes someoneโ€™s 2014!

The folks over at Green B.E.A.N. Delivery have also been kind enough to offer all Treble in the Kitchen Readers a special discount of $15 off your first delivery with the codeย 15TITKml. ย

*Green B.E.A.N. Delivery is available in Indianapolis, Anderson, Fort Wayne, and Muncie; in Ohio in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton; in Kentucky in Louisville and Lexington; and in St. Louis, Missouri.

While Green B.E.A.N. Delivery was kind enough to provide me with my first bin free, this is a service I had been wanting to try even before they reached out to me. ย All opinions are my own, and I truly recommend this service ๐Ÿ™‚
