The holiday season is practically here, and all the food memories are flooding my mind.

One of my favorite components of any holiday appetizer spread was always the veggie tray (big shocker!).  While I loved the veggies, what made a holiday veggie tray super special was the ranch dip RIGHT in the middle.

I still love the flavor of ranch on occasion, but I’ll be honest in saying that the ingredient list is usually less than stellar and there is quite a bit of onion and garlic included making this tasty dip not so FODMAP friendly.

So I can enjoy a little ranch dip treat this holiday season (and any other time I want to) I created this homemade ranch packet mix full of low FODMAP herbs.  It’s so flavorful!

The homemade ranch packet mix includes:

Dried parsley

Dried dill

Dehydrated chives

Dried thyme

Black pepper

Sea salt

After you blend all the herbs together, you have about 1/4 cup of the ranch packet mix.

Simply mix 1 Tbsp of the mix with 1/2 cup of sour cream or Greek yogurt (I prefer Green Valley Organics Lactose-Free sour cream or So Delicious unsweetened coconut milk yogurt) <—not sponsored, I just love those products!

Mix the herbs with the sour cream or yogurt and voila! You have delicious ranch dip perfect for a party (or snack time).

  1. Was looking for a low FODMAP ranch dressing mix without lemon or buttermilk because I’ve been having issues with reflux as well and this did the trick! Tastes a little strongly of parsley for my tastes and I think I might up the chives and salt next time, but quite tasty and definitely scratches that “MUST HAVE RANCH WITH MY CARROTS” itch!

    • So glad you found this and it hit the spot! And absolutely adjust the herbs to your taste preference 🙂
