Not only was it fun, but I met some amazing women!
One of these great ladies messaged me back in September asking if I would contribute to a holiday e-cookbook for one of her clients.
She did not need to go any further…the answer was a resounding YES! Not only do I love cooking, baking, and experimenting in the kitchen but the holidays are my absolute favorite time of year. I couldn’t wait to pull out my favorite family recipe to include in the book.

As a healthy lifestyle blogger, many people think that I never indulge in a special treat or decadent meal. In reality, baking sweet treats is one of my favorite things to do and I actually LOVE dessert in moderation…especially around the holidays. Baking Christmas and holiday cookies is no small task in my family, and it is something that we all look forward to doing together. Some of my fondest memories of growing up are baking with my family around the holidays.
When asked to submit a favorite recipe for this book, I had no doubt that I would submit my Great Grandmother’s Cherry Coconut Bars. These have always been the Christmas cookie I look forward to the most and I am happy to share the recipe!
