This year, I got creative with Brian’s big Christmas gift.  One thing that I struggle with, and have always struggled with is balancing the time I spend “working” and the time I spend just relaxing.  As I mentioned earlier today, this is a BIG year, which also means that it will be a busy year.

Instead of buying Brian a specific item, I decided to give Brian the gift of my time.

brian christmas giftI planned and paid for 12 dates, one for each month.  I put the plans along with the gift card or money inside of a little envelope that Brian and I will open up together at the beginning of each month.  This year, Brian and I are GUARANTEED to go on at LEAST 12 dates…and I can’t wait!

Tonight is date number one.

We are heading to Climb Time Indy, an indoor rock climbing wall!

Honestly, I have never done indoor rock climbing, but I am sooo looking forward to it.

Wish us luck on our rock climbing adventure, I will be sure to update you with details later 😉

Have you ever gone indoor rock climbing?  What advice do you have for a beginner like myself?

  1. Hi I think this is such a cute idea. I might have to steal idea and use it with my hubby. But since I’m late for Christmas I might use it for as Valentine gift.

    • Thanks, Jess. Please, feel free to “steal” the idea 🙂 I stole it from Pinterest! Let me know if you need any help planning the dates or anything else!! I can’t wait to see what you end up doing.
