Whenever I make the grocery list I ask Brian to tell me what he has been craving.  Literally, the door is open for him to give me suggestions on snacks, breakfast ideas, lunches, dinners, treats, and everything in between.  Usually he simply says “The usual!” which means…surprise me, or the same thing as last week.

This week, instead of just saying “the usual” he said “check your e-mail!”  In my e-mail I found several links to delicious looking recipes from Pinterest.  These were not just any old meal ideas.  They were all relatively easy to make, and they were healthy!  Great job Brian 🙂

Everything has turned out delicious, and has been a great change from the usual baked fish and roasted/steamed veggie routine.

Workout

In other news, I have been 100% completely loving my new job.  I love being in the fitness and health environment all the time, and I love getting involved and trying new classes and programs.

Last night, I tried a class at the gym called HIT.

It was so fun and we used a lot of “functional training” equipment that I do not typically incorporate into my workouts.

We used something called a “Landmine Machine:”

And I got to test out the ropes:

Pretty fun if you ask me!

Questions of the Morning:

  • How do you get meal inspiration when planning meals for the week?
  • What is a new workout or piece of equipment that you have tried lately?

  1. Zucchini for burger buns?! Genius. Way to go Brian for suggesting those alternatives. My hubby always just says ‘the usual’, as well, which means apples and yogurt. He’s no help – haha!
