Is it just me, or has anyone else received an abundance of magazines within the past two weeks?

I have honestly received all of these publications in the mail within the last two weeks.  Now, I am not complaining because I love reading each and every one of them, but seriously?  Who has time to read seven magazines in a month?

I guess there could be worse things… 😉

I have honestly been loving Tina’s Best Body Boot Camp, and it has made me refreshed and excited about teaching my boot camp class this morning.

In my boot camp class, I always start out by explaining what the class is and giving any necessary announcements, going over the various exercises with the class mirroring my actions, and then head out to the gym for a warm-up jog.

I love this beginning portion of the class, because I feel like this is the time where I really get to connect to everyone involved.  This is their first impression on me and the class, and it is important that I make the class seem approachable, challenging, fun, and suitable for all levels.

After the beginning portion, then it is time for WORK!  Here is a look at a portion of the workout that we did today…KILLER (and Spooky!)

What is your favorite part of a group fitness class?

I love the beginning when I get to show my personality and/or where I get to learn the personality of the instructor I am taking a class from.

  1. I think I have the same stack of magazines! Wish I had the time. Love the Spooky Total Body Circuit…pinning it for future use since I’m already sore from Tina’s bootcamp. Sore but loving it!

  2. I have a ridiculous amount of magazines waiting to be read at the moment. I always read magazines while I run on the treadmill @ the gym. So before I found out I had hypothalamic amenorrhea, the hubs stocked up on magazines for me haha.

    • I wish I could read magazines at the gym…I cannot focus that much while on the treadmill 🙁 But at least you have a ton of great magazines now to read!

  3. Oh my gosh, yes to the magazine overload, I have no idea how in the world I am going to get through them all.

    That’s wonderful that you take the time to make a good impression at each class. I have been traveling a lot for work and that makes a huge difference in how I react to the rest of the class with a new instructor! If they tell me up front they are tough, I love it and it always makes me push myself!

    • If you travel a lot for work, maybe you have time to read magazines (if you are not driving)?! I totally agree with you about the instructor. It sets the tone for the class, and for the entire workout!
