Things I'm Loving October from Treble in the Kitchen

Happy Monday, friends!

Can you believe that November is here? While I truly love the warm months of the year, I am so excited to be entering into the holiday season.  It’s going to be busy and full of hustle and bustle, but that is what I absolutely love!

In my opinion we have had a pretty darn amazing fall here in Denver so far.  October was full of sunshine, and the first of many visitors that Brian and I will have in the coming weeks.  The past few months, I have shared a monthly recap of my all-time favorite things from the month and I wanted to continue that through October as well!

I hope you had a fantastic month and are ready to bring on November!

Products/Services I am Loving:

Farmhouse Culture Kraut

When I met Meg and Shawn at the end of last month, they recommended eating probiotic foods to aid with digestive health.  Since I grew up eating and loving things like sauerkraut, pickles and generally vinegary/pickly tasting foods I thought I would give it a shot!  I have honestly been loving the flavor addition to my lunchtime meal.  Has it helped with my digestion?  I’m not quite sure, but I don’t think it has made anything worse which is always a good thing.

Firmoo Glasses | Treble in the Kitchen

I am really happy with my new glasses from Firmoo!  At first, they felt a bit different than the glasses I had previously (that Bernie chomped on), but now I am completely adjusted to them and really like them.  You can read my full review here!

I know I mention this service each month, but I truly LOVE the jewelry that I receive from them!  You can read a more detailed post about the jewelry rental service here.

This month, I received a necklace, earrings and a bracelet.  I honestly love all three items and haven’t sent them back yet because I am debating about which to purchase!  Any and all suggestions welcome 🙂

Mychelle Argan Oil from Treble in the Kitchen

The Denver weather is SO dry and it’s really making my skin and hair dry.  This argan oil has literally been a life-saver, and I slather it on everything (my hair, face, and hands) before bed so that I wake up to super smooth skin and hair.

Personal Favorites:

  • Puppy School!

Puppy School Ted Terroux Dog Training

Brian and I have spent the past 6 Saturday mornings in 2 hour obedience school classes with Bernie at a local dog training center. While it takes a lot of practice and dedication outside of class, I think we are both pretty amazed at how well he is doing in these classes.  Next week, we have our final session where we are tested to see if Bernie will graduate…wish us luck!

  • Preparing for Thanksgiving

This year, Brian and I will be hosting my parents, grandparents and several friends for Thanksgiving and we couldn’t be more excited! I still have a few recipes I need to test in these next couple of weeks, but it should be a fun couple of days spending lots of time with the ones we love 🙂

Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Denver 2015 | Treble in the Kitchen

A couple of weeks ago, I ran and finished my first ever FULL marathon! I’m honestly still in a bit of disbelief that I trained 19 weeks for this event and it is now over, but I am really proud of myself for completing it.  It was an absolutely amazing and unforgettable experience.

  • Having friends and family visit!

This month, we had a few friends visit and Brian’s family was also able to spend time with us over Halloween weekend.  We are having guests in town each weekend from now through Thanksgiving, and while it is a bit overwhelming we are SO excited to have these visitors stay with us and have fun exploring Denver!

  • Company B Gals Rehearsal

Tara Singing Rehearsal

This month, I started listening to holiday music and I won’t stop until after Christmas 🙂  Typically, I don’t listen to holiday music until after Thanksgiving by the women’s a cappella group I am in started rehearsals, which means it’s time to get this music in my head.  I love it!

Blogs/Shows/Podcasts I’ve Been Loving:

  • The Real Life RD | I love her WIAW and Q&A posts
  • Ambitious Kitchen | Her recipes always look drool-worthy and definitely inspire me in the kitchen 🙂
  • Gal Meets Glam | I think she has beautiful style and I love following her on Instagram

  • Friends | I literally can’t NOT mention this (even though I mention it all the time).  I think we are on season 7, and trying to slow it down so that we don’t finish too soon!! I’ll be so sad when it’s over.
  • Throwdown with Bobby Flay | I just realized these shows are on Netflix, and I love just throwing on an episode and chilling out for 20 minutes.  It’s so fun to see how Bobby tries to make each dish a little bit different from the original.

Old Posts I’ve Been Loving:
