Description
This healthy heart beet berry smoothie is sweet, creamy, and great for your heart! Gluten free, dairy free, vegan.
Ingredients
2 clementines, peeled
½ cup frozen berries (any kind will do, but I love strawberries and raspberries)
½ frozen banana
1 small red beet, raw, peeled and chopped
1 date
1 tablespoon walnuts
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder, optional
Instructions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until combined
Notes
This recipe has not been tested for FODMAPs, but the beet in this smoothie makes it high in fructans.
