Yesterday, a friend of Brian’s from childhood and a friend of mine from my sorority had her white coat ceremony, officially marking the beginning of her journey through medical school.

After the ceremony, she had a cookout celebration at her house with family and friends.  I brought my brownie batter dip to go alongside all of the other amazing dishes there.  There were tons of fruits and veggies…so delicious.

Oliver Winery is an Indiana winery that is about 30 minutes from Indianapolis.  Recently, they started making hard ciders in super cute bottles!  I love hard cider, so these were right up my alley.

Look at the cute bottle!

As the evening went on it became more and more gloomy, but in an exciting and good way.  Ever since I was little I have enjoyed thunder storms.  I like the anticipation of the storm coming and watching them in the distance from my porch or garage or window (whatever’s available).  I am not quite sure why, but I think the lightening and thunder storm dark sky is so gorgeous!

It suddenly got dark

It eventually ended up raining pretty hard, and although Brian and I had plans to go out with some friends last night the sleep bug hit us…all of us…and it hit hard.  So, we ended up spending the night at a friends house!  Oh well, I guess our bodies were sending us pretty strong sleep messages.

Breakfast and Yoga

This morning, I didn’t have a lot of time to fit in a hard workout so I opted for yoga!  I have been reading up on the practice of yoga, I attended a class, and now I just need to make it part of my weekly routine.  After running 9 miles yesterday morning, my legs needed a good stretch so I found a hamstring yoga video on Youtube!  It really felt great to stretch my legs and challenge my body in a different way than intense cardio.

I then made a simple breakfast of frozen fruit and peanut butter.

Apples, bananas, and strawberries topped with PB

It was a relaxing way to start the day 🙂

The weather is surprisingly cool and makes me want to just curl up on the couch in a sweater….too bad I have to work.

Question of the Day:

Do you like thunderstorms or do they give you the heeby jeebies?
