Happy Friday!!!!!

I am SO thankful that it’s the weekend, and I’m sure many of you are happy that it is the weekend too 🙂 I had a test this week, LOVED the Bachelor Women Tell All on Monday night, played with Bernie, taught some Bodypump, listened to some music to create my fitness music library, studied, and ate some yummy food.  Nothing too exciting, but all in all it was a great week. This is our last weekend of puppy school, so other than that we really don’t have too much planned.  Should be pretty relaxing!

Now for some Five Things Friday 🙂

Five Things I Ate:

  • Microgreens!  I absolutely LOVE getting these little microgreens when I shop at Trader Joe’s.  I love adding them to Brian’s sandwiches and putting them on salads for a little extra nutritional punch (and because they are so cute!)

  • Smoked Salmon.  I love smoked salmon and rarely buy it, so it was kind of like a treat to have some this week.  I like mixing it into my salads, egg scrambles, or just eating it plain!

  • Veggie scrambles.  I seriously LOAD my eggs with veggies.  This bowl had carrots, kale, spinach, and bell pepper.  And because I also love a little something sweet in the morning, a side of frozen banana and frozen grapes made an appearance.

  • Paleo/low FODMAP granola.  I tested a recipe out this weekend and made a second batch this week just to make sure I had all the proportions correct.  This stuff tastes wonderful and I can’t wait to share it with you soon!

  • This is more “something I drank” rather than “ate” but I had a delicious glass of wine while playing trivia at a little bar/pizza joint close by called Nicolo’s.  We always have so much fun playing trivia, but this week we had extra fun (or at least I did) because there was a Broadway themed round!  I love it when I feel like I can actually answer the questions. 🙂

Five Workouts I Did:

  • Taught Bodypump
  • Boot Camp
  • Indoor Cycling
  • Tabata (I plan on doing that this morning)
  • Workout in the apartment fitness center (circuit style weights and cardio)

Five Things Making Me Happy:

I just LOVE this blog! I think Lauryn is funny and I love that she mixes in some fashion/glam with the whole health/fitness bit 🙂  Seriously, check her out.

  • Cooking and eating breakfast at home.  I just love it! I love reading while I eat, I love sitting at the table, I love it all and I am so so thankful that I can do this (for now!)
  • Completing another test!  Right now, I am in a bit of a rut with school…

Not like I don’t want to be in school anymore, but like I can’t wait to be done with these prereqs and actually be in my program.  I realize that June 8 will be here before I know it, but right now it’s a little hard to see that light at the end of the tunnel.

  • This one is really goofy…but getting my laundry cleaned, folded and put away in the same day! If you know me, then you know that I really like things to be super tidy and organized.  This is true, but for some reason I have issues with getting my laundry folded and put away once it is clean…super weird, I know but I’m really happy that it is done!

  • OK, now I realize this is not a puppy or dog blog but little Bernie just makes my heart melt!! I have to share some super cute pics 🙂 (Please forgive me!)
