Beach, pool (nap) and repeat with my baby Claire ❤️
This is what baby led weaning looks like for our f This is what baby led weaning looks like for our family with a 2 year old and an almost 8 month old.

Essentially we are all eating the same thing! Grilled shrimp, grilled sweet potatoes, kale Caesar salad (for mom, dad and toddler), cinnamon roasted apples (for toddler and baby).

Modifications I made:
-I didn’t add salt when seasoning the shrimp or sweet potatoes (Brian and I can add that at the table).
-I cut the shrimp into tiny pieces for Claire (our 8 month old) making it easier for her to chew and less of a choking hazard.
-Claire’s other food is cut into a shape that is about the size of my pinky and can easily be smashed between two fingers.

Sometimes I prep foods that are specifically for Claire so that I know I have a meal with no added sugar or salt for her, but sometimes I do it like this and she eats what we eat and I just add salt at the table ❤️
A little meal prep goes a long way! At least in ou A little meal prep goes a long way! At least in our house, spending about an hour of batch prepping some food a couple of times a week helps to expedite breakfast, lunches and snacks.

Today, I prepped energy bites for myself (on my sure!), cinnamon roasted apples for the girls, miso tofu and vegetable curry for Claire.

Do you meal prep??

New recipe! 🎉 BANANA OAT PANCAKES! Swipe to se New recipe! 🎉 BANANA OAT PANCAKES!

Swipe to see what Marie and Claire think of these pancakes that are perfect for a toddler breakfast, baby led weaning or breakfast in bed on Mother’s Day 😉

Made with fiber-rich whole grains, chia seeds filled with omega-3 fatty and deliciously sweet bananas this breakfast has been on repeat in our house.

I usually make a batch on the weekend then store in the freezer to eat throughout the week!

Fish Tacos! 🌮 I LOVE this fish taco recipe, b Fish Tacos! 🌮

I LOVE this fish taco recipe, but haven’t made it in forever because…cooking with a toddler has me thinking VERY differently than cooking solo. 😂

I’m adding these to a weekly meal plan in the future because Marie would be so helpful with making the seasoning mix and making the sauce. Dumping and mixing are two cooking tasks Marie has mastered! (And taste-testing 😉)

I can chop the veggies ahead of time, and fish cooks quickly…ok, this recipe needs to be made sooner rather than later around here.
