Yesterday was a pretty big day.

I woke up very early so that I could get a run in before heading out for wedding dress shopping!  That’s right…shopping for  THE dress that I have been imagining for my entire life.

The run was great, but all I could think about was getting to try on pretty white dresses.  You can read more about my day of wedding dress shopping on our wedding web site thedealrochfordwedding.com.

This is NOT the dress!

All I can say is that it was a long, amazing, fun, overwhelming, and emotionally exhausting day.  I can’t believe that it is done!

After a long day of shopping, I needed a good night’s rest.

Initially, I had planned on going for a run this morning, but my body wanted sleep more than a 6 mile run…and sleep is important, so the run was turned down.

I started my day with my first bowl of hot oats in a long time.

My bowl of oats included:

  • 1/2 cup of oats
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin
  • 1 scoop Sunwarrior protein powder
  • 1/3 frozen banana
  • 1 tsp almond butter
  • 1 packet of stevia.
This combo was delicious and totally put me in the mood for fall 🙂
After breakfast was finished, the grocery list was made, and the coupons were clipped I headed out to a very important appointment that I had at 10am.
I had purchased a Groupon for a $29 60 minute massage at Pathway to Perfection.  That was probably the best $30 I have spent in a long time!  I will give you a full review of the massage later this week.
Once the massage was finished and my body was completely relaxed, it was time for grocery shopping, food prepping, and fall decorating.
That’s right.  Today was the day to put up the fall decor!  The decorations just make everything feel so cozy.

With all of the fall decorations and the cozy feeling in the air, my body was in the mood for the ultimate fall meal:

CHILI!  There will be a recipe for this delicious dinner on the blog later this week…no need to worry 😉

Now that our bellies are full of chili and our house has that warm, cozy, fall feeling it is time to relax and get ready for the week.

Hope you all had an amazing weekend!
